Description
Dosage and Administration
- One tablet of Pan 40 mg once daily, preferably before breakfast.
- In GERD or acid reflux, treatment typically lasts 4 to 8 weeks.
- Dosage may vary based on the condition and physician’s advice.
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew.
Side Effects
Like all medicines, Pan 40 may cause some side effects, though not everyone experiences them:
- Common: Headache, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, flatulence
- Uncommon: Dizziness, skin rash, joint pain
- Rare but Serious: Severe allergic reaction, low magnesium levels, vitamin B12 deficiency (with long-term use)
Seek medical attention if you experience swelling, difficulty breathing, or severe skin reactions.
Precautions
- Inform your doctor if you have liver problems or are taking medications like warfarin, ketoconazole, or HIV protease inhibitors.
- Long-term use may increase the risk of bone fractures, low magnesium, or gut infections.
- Not recommended for children under 12 without medical advice.
