Description
Dosage and Administration
- Usual adult dose: 250–500 mg twice daily (every 12 hours) depending on the condition.
- Maximum daily dose generally should not exceed 1,000 mg.
- To minimize gastrointestinal discomfort, Naproxen should be taken with food or milk.
Note: Dosage may vary based on age, condition, and doctor’s recommendations.

- Gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration
Precautions
- Avoid in patients with active gastrointestinal bleeding, peptic ulcer disease, or severe renal or hepatic impairment.
- Use with caution in elderly patients, those with a history of cardiovascular disease, or those on anticoagulants.
- Not recommended during the third trimester of pregnancy.
- Long-term use should be monitored with regular kidney, liver, and blood pressure assessments.
- Alcohol should be avoided to reduce the risk of stomach bleeding.
