MIDOZYK 5

Category:
Composition: Midodrine Tablets
Strength: 5 mg

Description:

MIDOZYK contains Midodrine, an oral vasopressor used primarily to treat symptomatic orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure upon standing). Midodrine is a prodrug that is metabolized into desglymidodrine, its active form, which selectively stimulates alpha-1 adrenergic receptors in the arterioles and veins, resulting in vasoconstriction and a rise in blood pressure.

Midodrine does not significantly affect heart rate and is especially useful for patients who experience dizziness, fatigue, or fainting upon standing due to low blood pressure.
