Category:
Composition: Imatinib Tablets
Strength: 100mg & 400mg

Description:

IMASTOP (Imatinib Tablets) is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) used in the treatment of certain types of cancers by blocking the proteins that signal cancer cells to grow. It is primarily prescribed for chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs), among other conditions.

Imatinib works by inhibiting the BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase, the abnormal enzyme produced by the Philadelphia chromosome in CML. It also targets other tyrosine kinases like c-KIT and PDGFR, making it effective against other cancers such as GIST.

IMASTOP is indicated for the treatment of:

  • Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) – all phases (chronic, accelerated, or blast crisis)
  • Philadelphia chromosome-positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (Ph+ ALL)
  • Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST)
  • Myelodysplastic/Myeloproliferative Diseases (MDS/MPD)
  • Aggressive Systemic Mastocytosis
  • Hypereosinophilic Syndrome/Chronic Eosinophilic Leukemia
  • Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans (DFSP)
