Dosage and Administration
- Hand Hygiene:
Wash hands thoroughly before administering the drops. - Application:
- Shake the bottle well before use.
- Tilt the head back and pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
- Hold the dropper directly over the eye and instill the prescribed number of drops into the pocket.
- Close the eye gently and press on the inner corner for about one minute to prevent drainage into the tear duct.
- Avoid Contamination:
Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye, to prevent contamination. - Contact Lenses:
Remove contact lenses prior to application and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them. It is advisable to avoid wearing contact lenses during the course of treatment.

- Redness
- Tearing
- Dry eyes
- Unpleasant taste following application
- Severe Eye Irritation:
Intense burning, stinging, swelling, or pain. - Hypersensitivity Reactions:
Signs include rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing.
Precautions
- Hypersensitivity:
Contraindicated in individuals with a known hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, other quinolones, or any components of the formulation. - Prolonged Use:
Extended use may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms, including fungi. If superinfection occurs, discontinue use and initiate appropriate therapy. - Contact Lens Wearers:
Avoid wearing contact lenses during treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis. Consult with a healthcare provider regarding the appropriate time to resume contact lens use. - Pregnancy and Lactation:
Use during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Caution is advised when administering to nursing women.
