BEVAC is a recombinant Hepatitis B vaccine used to protect individuals against infection caused by the Hepatitis B virus (HBV). Hepatitis B infection can cause serious liver conditions, including chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, and liver cancer.
BEVAC contains purified Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) produced using recombinant DNA technology. After administration, it prompts the immune system to recognize and remember the virus, enabling a quicker and stronger response upon future exposure.
